The concept of a rule of life is ancient and resurrects the practical dedication of our monastic forebears in faith.  What the Benedictine’s called conversatio morum is not a limitation to life it is truly a “conversation of behavior” that is both between God and the pilgrim and the pilgrim and their community of faith.  How does one live intentionally, in harmony, humanely, prayerfully, sensibly, with self-respect, playfully and with fresh wonder?  These are just a few of the questions to converse with by developing your rule of life.
